With Matt Stauch firing a five-under-par 67, the Moccasins are tied for 10th after Friday's first round of the USF Invitational at Lake Jovita in Dade City.

Stauch's round, which matched his career best, has him tied for second with Missouri State's Jordan McLauren and Marquette's Kelly Schwab.  All three are one stroke behind first-round leader Riley Wheeldon of Louisville.

The Moccasins had a team score of 286, which puts them just five behind team leader Missouri State, which had a 281.

FSC and Columbus State are the only Division II schools in the 23-team field.

The tournament continues through Sunday.
