There were no upsets on the first day of the Sunshine State Conference Men's Tennis Tournament Thursday, as all three higher seeded teams posted 5-0 victories.
The third-seeded Moccasins joined second-seeded Barry and fourth-seeded Rollins in the winners' column. Top-seeded Lynn had a first-round bye.
FSC, now 14-5, swept all three doubles matches from Florida Tech, then picked up singles wins from Ben Taylor at No. 6, 6-0, 6-1, and Nicolas Bigler, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 4 to clinch the match. The remaining singles matches went unfinished, since the winner of the match has been determined.
The Moccasins will face Barry in their semifinal match Friday at 9 a.m. Rollins and Lynn will play in the other semifinal at 9 a.m. The back draw match at 11:30 a.m. will send Florida Tech against Saint Leo.
Saturday's championship match is set for 9 a.m., with the third-place match also set for 9 a.m. and the fifth-place match slated for 11:30 a.m.
All matches are being played at the Beerman Tennis Facility on Edgewood Drive.
