Up Two Spots on Tuesday, Mocs Finish 13th at Bobcat Invitational

GREENSBORO, GA - Behind a 72 from Peter Creighton and a 73 from Jude Eustaquio, Florida Southern moved up two spots on the final day of the Bobcat Invitational, finishing in 13th place in the three-round tournament hosted by Georgia College.

In addition to Creighton and Eustaquio's scores, the Moccasins also counted a 76 from Shane Convery and a 77 from Shelton Smith. That gave them a team score of 298, after shooting a 306 and a 295 on Monday. Lynn University won the tournament with an 854 (287-281-286), just one stroke better than Barry and West Florida, and six better than host Georgia College. North Alabama, which held a one-stroke lead over Lynn and Barry going into the final round, had a 297 on Tuesday and fell all the way to eighth place.

West Florida's Otto Bonning was the tournament medalist with a three-under par 207 (70-66-71) on the par-70 course, and was the only golfer under par in the tournament. Three other golfers tied for second with scores of one-over par 211.

Convery was Florida Southern's top golfer with a 223 (72-75-76), finishing in a tie for 48th place. Tim Crouch was tied for 52nd with a 225 (74-73-78), Creighton was tied for 57th with a 226 (80-74-72), and Eustaquio (81-76-73) and Smith (80-73-77) each tied for 68th with scores of 230.

Florida Southern's next tournament will be the Sunshine State Conference Championship, April 18 and 19 in Boca Raton.
