PENSACOLA – Laurent Mailloux dropped a 6-2, 6-0 match to Embry-Riddle's Fabian Zierleyn in the consolation bracket semifinals of the USTA/ITA South Region Championships here at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of West Florida.
Mailloux advanced the semifinals after recording a win in the quarterfinals when Lynn's Jose Porfirio defaulted his match.
Arthur Viallaneix was defeated 6-2, 6-3, by West Alabama's Casper Schuetze in the consolation bracket quarterfinals.
The Moccasins will compete next at the Mercer Bear Gridiron Classic in Macob, GA, Oct. 9-11.
