DAVIE, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's golf team, ranked 18
th in the most recent Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll, currently sits in seventh place after the first two rounds of the 2022 NSU Shark Invitational hosted at the Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fla. by Nova Southeastern. The Moccasins opened the tournament with a 291 before carding a 293 in round two for a 36-hole score of 584 (+16) on the par-71, 6,800-yard course.

The Moccasins, who are in seventh out of 12 teams, were led by
Tyler Mistretta on day one where the sophomore from North Palm Beach, Fla. is inside the top-15 with a one-over 143 following rounds of 72 and 71. Mistretta made seven birdies and 20 pars between the two rounds Monday. Mistretta was the first to card an eagle for the Mocs, when he made a three on the par-5 528-yard eighth hole in round one.

Adam Alvarez and
Max Watson are currently tied for 34
th after carding a six-over 148 for Monday's two rounds. Watson, a junior from Ashland, Ohio, made back-to-back 74's while Alvarez, a junior from Winter Haven, Fla., tallied a 73 and 75 for his two rounds. The duo combined for 12 birdies and 38 pars.

Max Barile, playing as an individual in this tournament, is a stroke off Alvarez and Watson at 149 (+7), good enough for 38
th place, following his two rounds of 76 and 73. Barile, a sophomore from Land O' Lakes, Fla., made four birdies and connected on 19 pars while making the second eagle for the Mocs on the course. His eagle came during round two on the par-5 530-yard 15
th hole.

Clay Tucker is sitting in 42
nd place out of the 72-player field at eight-over 150 following a 77 for round one and a 73 for round two. The sophomore from Jacksonville, Fla. made five birdies and 21 pars over his first 36-holes of the Shark Invitational.

Bryce Walker rounded out the Moccasins in the field, where he sits in 55
th place heading to Tuesday's third and final round. Walker, a junior from Bartow, Fla., made seven birdies and 14 pars to stand at 153 (+11) for two rounds.

Barry and Nova Southeastern are tied for first at one-under 567 on the team leaderboard while the Sharks' Will O'Neill holds a two-stroke advantage on the player leaderboard at 134 (-8), shooting even par for round one and a 63 (-8) for round two.
