CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Florida Southern men's and women's track teams closed out their respective regular seasons Saturday night at the Lee University Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tenn. Several strong teams traveled to the meet to take a chance at lowering the qualifying times for the upcoming 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Graduate student

TOP PERFORMERS
FLORIDA SOUTHERN WOMEN:
- Sophomore Ellie Fluman competed In the 5000m where she finished 17th overall. Her time of 18:05.99 did not surpass her previous season best in the event which she set in her last outing at the UNF Invitational. Â

FLORIDA SOUTHERN MEN:
- Graduate student Mitchell Kozik shaved over eight seconds off his school record time in the 3000m steeplechase as he finished 13th with a time of 9:06.49. The time ranks just outside the top-25 in NCAA Division II this season and is below the NCAA Provisional Standard time.
- Senior Mason Jones was unable to lower his time in the 10000m as he took fifth in a strong field Saturday night. Jones entered the weekend with the 25th ranked time in the NCAA Division II this season but his time of 30:13.08 was not enough to lower the previous mark.
- Graduate student Joshua Wagner just missed out on a school record in the 1500m as he ran the second fastest time in program history while finishing 11th in the event. Wagner lowered his personal best to 3:49.03 Saturday night which also is below the NCAA Provisional Standard time.

The Moccasins will await the announcement of the 2022 NCAA Championship selections to see if any of the qualifying marks are strong enough to make the field.
