DADE CITY, Fla. – Florida Southern women's golf 'A' squad posted a team score of 306 (+18) over the final 18 holes of the Saint Leo Invitational to finish in fourth place at 904 (+40). The 'B' team scored a 322 (+34) for the final 18 to finish in 12^th place with a 971 (+107) team score on the par-72 6,112-yard South Course at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
 
Ava La Belle paced the team with a 17^th place finish on the 'A' team at 225 (+9). La Belle carded a third straight 75 (+3) to finish at nine-over for the event.  Taylor Zachary and Clare Gimpel each captured a top-30 finish in the field of 71 with 24^th and 28^th places, respectively.
 
After sitting at seven-over Monday, Zachary carded a 76 (+4) Tuesday to finish at 227 (+11) for the event. Gimpel carded a. final round 77 (+5) to sit a stroke off at 228 (+12), edging Andrea Lindahl in 33^rd place at 229 (+13), thanks to a final round 78 (+6).
 
Ashleigh Angelo rounded out the 'A' team with a 43^rd place finish, tying Margaux Bonafe, who was the top finisher on the 'B' squad at 236 (+25). Angelo carded an 83 (+11) Tuesday while Bonafe posted the third best score on the day among all Moccasins in the field, a 77 (+5).
 
Bonafe and the 'B' squad finished in 12^th place with a 971 (+107) score after a final round 322 (+34). Behind Bonafe on the four-person team was Gabriela Shortridge in 57^th place, 241 (+25), Marissa Cardenas in 63^rd, 245 (+29), and Kaitlin McHugh in 67^th place, 249 (+33).
 
Nova Southeastern cruised to the team title despite posting a 10-over 298 for the final round, winning the event by 19-strokes over Anderson (SC), 863 (-1). The Sharks' Ellen Andersson edged her teammate Ellen Ramstedt by five strokes after a final round even-par 72 (E) to Ramstedt's six-over. Anderson won the individual title at 211 (-5).
