BOSTON, Mass. – The Florida Southern College men's indoor track team saw its first action outside of the state of Florida for the first time since the program was established prior to the 2023 season. Sophomore
Christian Giller and
Chris Colavita traveled to Boston, Mass. to represent the Moccasins at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational. Colavita established a new school record in the 3,000m while Giller posted the top 5,000m time of the season for the Mocs and second-best time in program history.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Giller was the first Moc in action Saturday as he competed in a talented 5,000m field. The sophomore completed the distance in 14:33.45 to take 47th overall while earning the second-best time in program history.
- Colavita was next to take to the track and finished 36th in the 3K while stopping the clock at 8:26.76, surpassing the previous record held by Alex Guy of 8:31.00.

Today's meet marked the final indoor event of the season for the Moccasins as they will now begin preparation for their 2024 outdoor track debut which will take place Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Tampa Spartans Open.
