TAMPA, Fla. — The Florida Southern College men's track team made the short trip to Tampa to compete in the South Florida Invitational hosted by USF. Eight Moccasins were in action over four events with six earning top-10 finishes.

Sophomore
Andrew Nyland posted the ninth-fastest 800m performance in program history as he placed ninth Friday night. The Windermere, Fla. native completed the distance in 1:52.46. Classmate
Daniel Welling stopped the clock at 1:56.65 to claim 24
th overall.
Junior
Michael Toppi was the lone FSC representative in the 1,500m as he nearly found the podium with a fifth-place finish. He was able to cross the finish in 3:55.74.
Distance Â
Freshman
Parker Graham led a trio of Moccasins in the 3,000m steeplechase as he posted the second-fastest time this season in the event for a Moccasin. He claimed fourth overall while crossing the finish in 9:39.56. Junior
Cameron Raney finished back-to-back with freshman
Skyler Jensen as they claimed eighth and ninth, respectively. Raney stopped the clock at 10:03.78 while Jensen came across just under three seconds later in 10:06.04.
Freshman
Jack Girard earned a podium finish in the 5,000m as he claimed second overall with a time of 14:55.95. Junior
Trevor Cross came through nine spots later in 11
th after stopping the clock at 15:38.97.
