LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's tennis team rebounded from a doubles point loss to sweep singles in a 6-1 victory over Southern New Hampshire University Saturday afternoon at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.

The Mocs (6-3, 1-1 SSC) extended their winning streak to three matches with a 6-1 victory for a singles competition sweep. The Penmen (6-3, 3-1 NE10) won the doubles point and had a few singles set wins, but not enough for a flight win as the Mocs won 6-1.

In doubles, FSC battled on the courts with SNHU but to a team point loss.
Ryan Rajakar and
George Russell lost at the #2 court by a 6-4 score, with a 6-2 loss at the #3 court by
Bosko Boskovic and
Matthew Hewitt. The #1 court of
Chris Fok Kow and
Mario Garoz went unfinished with the point to SNHU.

Florida Southern responded great in singles competition with a flight win on each court to win 6-1. On the #1 court, Russell had a big set one win over No. 45 Jonathan Berling (7-6,7-4), and after a set two loss (3-6), responded with a 6-2 set three victory to win the court. Fok Kow had a similar three-set battle with No. 38 Jesse Den Hartog, as he won 7-5, 5-7, 6-3.

The Mocs had another three-set win by Garoz at #3 and a strong showing at #4 by
Gabriel Jornert to win 6-2, 6-2 and back-to-back flight wins by
Elliott Altman and
Matteo Feggi for the 6-1 team match win.

The Mocs will remain at home and face No. 15 Wingate University on Monday, March 4, set for a 3 p.m. start at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.
