LAKELAND, Fla. — At the close of a successful fall campaign, the Florida Southern Men's golf team moved up to fifth in the latest Scoreboard Powered by Clippd ranking.
The Moccasins with two wins and three top-3 finishes, are ranked 5th by Clippd. Florida Southern closed their fall slate with a scoring average of 281.4. The Mocs are also ranked third in the South region.
Four Mocs are ranked individually by Clippd, led by freshman,
Jack VanderSchuur ranked 13th, who posted a top-three finish in the Golfweek Fripp Island to Bermuda Invite. Junior,
Colton Swartz made the biggest individual jump up to 23rd after a top-three finish at the Citrus Intercollegiate.
Two more Mocs moved into the top-50 in this week's rankings, as
Donte Groppuso was slated #41 and
Max Barile #46.
Florida Southern returns to action in the spring where they will host their first tournament of the season at the Lone Palm Golf Club in Lakeland, Fla.
