NO. 15 FLORIDA SOUTHERN MEN'S SWIMMING
The Moccasins qualified
Janek Barczyk, Peter Csicsaky, Nino Viallon, and
Brandon Wilson, each returning to the national stage for a consecutive year, Barczyk having made NCAA's last season at Montevallo.
Â
FSC qualified for five events between the four qualifiers. Barczyk made the 100 breaststroke after a 53.73 time at the Last Chance Meet. Csicsaky made the 1000 free with a 9:13.89 time, also at the Last Chance Meet. Viallon made the 100 fly in 46.94, set at the Sunshine State Conference Championships. Wilson qualified for two events, the 50 free at in 19.95 and the 100 back in 46.75, both set at the SSC Championships. Having secured B cut times in additional events other than those officially qualified, the Mocs will have an opportunity to swim in a few additional events: Wilson will compete in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 back. Viallon will also compete in the 50 and 100 free, along with the 100 fly. Barczyk had times good for the 100 and 200 breaststroke and Csicsaky will take on the 200, 500, 1000, and 1650 free events.
Â
At the end of last month, the Moccasins had Csicsaky selected to the All-SSC First Team, while Viallon and Barczyk were named to the All-SSC Third Team. This is the second all-time selection for Csicsaky, who was named Third Team in the 2023-24 season.
Â
Florida Southern also qualified for the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay. Relay alternates for the Mocs will include
Matheus Da Rocha, Michael Tretyakov, and
Will Neville, each of whom had great swims at the SSC Championships as part of the relay teams.
Â
NO. 23 FLORIDA SOUTHERN WOMEN'S SWIMMING
The Moccasins qualified
Sam Hunter, Olivia Miles, Alizee Pelletier, Elizabeth Sikes, and
Vanda Voroshazy. Miles, Pelletier, and Sikes repeat as NCAA qualifiers. Voroshazy participated in the NCAA finals last season for FSC as a relay alternate, and this is the first invite for Hunter.
Â
FSC qualified for six events between the five swimmers. Hunter qualified for the 100 free after a 50.52 time at the Sunshine State Conference Championship. Miles made her fourth appearance at NCAA after a 4:25.33 time in the 400 IM, most recently at the Last Chance Meet last week. Pelletier qualified for the 100 and 200 breaststroke with top times set at the SSC Championships earlier this month. Sikes qualified for the 200 fly after a 2:02.33 time at the Last Chance Meet, and Voroshazy in the 100 fly after a 55.28 time at SSC's. Additional events that the Mocs will participate in due to top B cut times will include the 500 free, 1000 free, and 1650 free for Miles. Hunter will also compete in the 50 free and 200 free events, while Voroshazy will add the 200 IM to her event list.
Â
Last month, the Moccasins had Miles selected for the All-SSC Second Team and Voroshazy selected for the Third Team. Miles earns her second All-SSC nod after being selected to the Third Team last season. This is the first All-SSC award for Voroshazy.
Â
Although the women's team did not qualify for any relays, the five individual qualifiers have the opportunity to be entered into select relays to be determined throughout this week.

FSC in the NCAA Tournament
The women's team has competed in the NCAA Championships 13 times, dating back to 2009-10, when the team finished in a tie for 34th place. Last year, the Mocs finished 29
th overall, and head coach Andy Robins had his best finish on the women's side in the 2021-22 season after placing 26
th overall (best since the 2018 finals). Florida Southern women have placed in the top 10 four times with a sixth-place finish in 2012-13 their best NCAA finish to date. Mary O'Sullivan won two NCAA championships in her FSC career, finishing first in the 200 free and 200 back at the 2011 NCAA Finals. Alli Crenshaw, the SSC Swimmer of the Decade, won three total NCAA Championships, defending her 1000 free in 2013 and 2014, with a 2013 title in the 1650.
Â
The men's team has competed well at the NCAA National Championships since their first NCAA appearance in the 2009-10 season, with back-to-back Runner-Up finishes in the 2013 and 2014 championships. Last season, the Mocs finished 13
th overall, highlighted by Florida Southern's 28
th individual national champion as
Kyle Micallef won the 50 free style for the first time in program history. Â Back in 2022, FSC had its 27th individual national champion as freshman Ludovico Viberti won the 100 breast National Championship. Both Micallef (Malta) and Viberti (Italy) went on to participate in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. The men's team has a combined 13 NCAA National Champions in their history, including SSC Swimmer of the Decade Jeb Halfacre, who defended his 200-backstroke national championship three years in a row. Matthew Holmes won back-to-back 400 IM national titles, with six relay championships over 10 years. Florida Southern has placed in the top 10 in the NCAA for 9 of 12 years, with no NCAA Championships in the 2019-20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
