GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Southern College men's track showcased strong performances at the 2026 Jimmy Carnes Invitational, with standout efforts from sophomore
Andrew Nyland and freshman
Skyler Jensen. Nyland secured second place in the 1,000m with a time of 2:31.72, setting a new program record and surpassing the previous record of 2:32.93 set last season by current sophomore
Daniel Welling. Meanwhile, Jensen claimed second in the mile, clocking in at 4:25.65.

Luke Reeves placed 10th in the 300m with a time of 37.82 and secured 22nd place in the 400m clocking in at 53.83.
Middle Distance Â
In the 800m, Welling finished 11th with a time of 1:59.50, while Jensen was 13th at 2:01.81. Nyland achieved 2nd place in the 1,000m, recording a time of 2:31.72, followed by Welling in 4th at 2:34.63, which was the fourth fastest 1,000m time in program history. Freshman
Parker Graham closely followed in 6th at 2:35.15, securing the fifth fastest 1,000m time in program history.
