GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Southern College men's track saw strong performances Saturday afternoon at the Legends of Alachua County Invitational. Junior
Michael Toppi led the way as he posted the ninth-best 5,000m time in program history while earning a top-five finish. It was also Toppi's first sub-15 minute 5K since he set the Florida High School 5K Cross Country State Record while attending Viera High School.

Skylar Jensen opened the action for Florida Southern as he was the lone competitor in the mile. He placed 15
th overall while posting the third-best time this season for the Mocs at 4:21.88.

Toppi led a group of five Moccasins in the 5,000m. He was the first to cross the line as he stopped the clock at 14:44.64 to just miss out on the podium at fourth overall. The time was also good enough for ninth in the FSC Record Book. Classmate
Cole Summers picked up a top-10 finish in sixth overall after completing the distance in 14:48.85.

The next three Moccasins all finished within four spots of one another. Junior
William Canales led the trio in 11
th while sophomore
Tyler Gaines claimed 12
th followed by junior
Dillon Mantei in 14
th.
