NEW ORLEANS – Seniors Christian Giller and Anthony Matthew of the Florida Southern College men's indoor track team repeated their accomplishment from last season as being the first teammates in program history to earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-South Region honors for indoor track. Matthew became the first indoor track all-region performer in 2024 for the Mocs and 2026 marks the second time two-or-more Moccasins have made the list. Matthew becomes a four-time All-Region performer in indoor track after picking up honors in both the 800m and mile in 2026.
 
In total, between cross country, indoor track and outdoor track, Colavita is a seven-time All-Region honoree while Giller holds six honors.
 
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season.
 
The teammates earned All-Region in different events as Giller brought home a 5,000m honor while Matthew earned his third-straight honor in the mile and first in the 800m.
 
Giller posted his top 5,000m time of the season in the opening meet of the year as he posted a 14:13.70 in the event at the GVSU Holiday Open in late 2025. Matthew clocked the top-three 800m times on the squad in 2026 and set a new program record in the event of 1:51.40 at the Legends of Alachua County Invitational. He also held the top two mile times on the team in 2026 while setting a new program record in the event as well at 4:06.85 while competing at the Visit Gainesville Invitational.  
 
Giller and Matthew are now focused on the outdoor track season. The pair will compete this weekend at the Fire Invitational in Lakeland, Fla.
