ORLANDO, Fla. — Junior
Cole Summers led the way for the Florida Southern College men's track team Friday night as he won the 10,000m at the Black and Gold Challenge hosted by UCF. The Gulfport, Fla. native became just the third Moccasin all-time to run a sub-30 minute 10,000m joining Moccasin great
Mason Jones (2018-22) and current teammate
Christian Giller. Summers performance also set a new facility record at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex. The previous record was set last season by a University of North Florida student-athlete.

Andrew Nyland led the 1,500m group as he took 26
th overall Friday night as he crossed the line in 3:53.86. Freshman
Parker Graham was the next Moccasin across the line as he stopped the clock at 4:03.00 to take 41
st. Senior
Caleb Brady and freshman
Jack Girard finished back-to-back in 43
rd and 44
th, respectively. Brady clocked in at 4:06.49 while Girard came across in 4:10.73.
Distance Â
Summers led a group of four Moccasins in the 10,000m. He took the top spot as he crossed the finish in 29:57.47, breaking the previous facility record by over 23 seconds. The previous record was 30:21.15 set last season by a runner from UNF. Summers' time also ranked sixth in the FSC Record Book. Senior
Chris Colavita took second overall as he stopped the clock at 30:05.14, seventh all-time at FSC. Junior
Michael Toppi earned a top-five finish as he took fourth overall with the ninth-best time in program history at 30:23.32. The final Moccasin on the track was sophomore
Eli Zuppa who claimed sixth overall as he stopped the clock at 30:32.34.
