The No. 12 Florida Southern women's golf team will head to Brookesville, Fla. for the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championships, April 12-14, at Cabot Citrus Farms on the "Roost" course.
The Moccasins will be taking Clare Gimpel, Ava La Belle, McKinley Holding, Kaley Amuso, and Taylor Zachary to Brookesville. All five comprised FSC's 2025 SSC Tournament lineup. The group of five will look to drive the four-time SSC Champions to improve on last year's fifth-place finish and make a team run to the NCAA Regional in back-to-back years. All five starters are ranked inside the top 200 golfers in Division II, with Gimpel leading the way at No. 31 with a 73.6 stroke average. La Belle follows at No. 43 with a 73.6 average, Holding stands at No. 93 with a 74.7 average, ahead of Amuso at No. 111 (75.0), and Zachary at No. 187 (76.2).
The Mocs have had a regular season full of competing against some of the top teams in the SSC and country, with two team runner-up finishes at the Savannah Lakes Intercollegiate and the Saint Leo Invitational, and an individual win by Gimpel at the NCAA Championship Preview.Â
The No. 12 Mocs are one of eight SSC teams within the top 25 nationally and will be in search of a strong conference finish to secure further postseason play. Florida Southern averages a 295.1 adjusted score with three top-three finishes out of 10 tournaments for the 2025-26 season. The Mocs enter the SSC Championship at 63-38-4 at events and rank ninth in the region.
