LAKELAND, FLA. – The Florida Southern men's swimming team picked completed the season sweep of the Lions from Saint Leo University. Southern took the first meet by a slim 56-50 margin and the second meet, 82-33.
 
Prior to the meet the Mocs took time to honor their seven men's swimming seniors. The Class of 2021 seniors recognized included: Carlos Bernotti, Miguel Bernotti, Pedro Bernotti, Matias Lopez, Clavin Giang, Luka Prostran, and, Brandon Dyck.

HOW IT HAPPENED

MEET 1:

• C. Bernotti claimed the first victory for the Mocs in the 200-free as the home team took 1-2-3. Freshman Ludwig Mueller continued to dominate the breaststroke as he took a victory in the 100-breast by a time of 56.33.
• M. Bernotti won the 200-fly with a time of 1:48.00.

MEET 2:

• C. Bernotti kicked off the second meet of the day for the men with a victory in the 100-free for his second of the day.
• Swimming unopposed, Lopez swam the 200-back by a time of 1:47.88.
• Mueller and Boris Mitev took 1-2 in the 200-breast.
• Elder Luna Santos de Oliveira won the 500-free in 4:27.80, a head of Keith Peristeridis who was second with a time of 4:29.06.
• Freshman Cameron Lai-Harris and Dyck took 1-2 in the 100-fly by just 0.43 difference.
