FT. PIERCE, Fla. – The No. 21 Florida Southern College men's swimming team had a great final day to finish in second place after three days of competition in the IRSC Invite at the Anne Wilder Aquatic Complex.

The Moccasins finished in second place with 840 points, behind the host, Indian River State College, who finished with 1096 points. St. Thomas University (773 points), Rollins College (647 points), and Barry University (196 points) rounded out the remaining five-team field. Â

The first prelims event for the Mocs was the 200 back as
William King and
Corbin Cole went back-to-back for 11
th and 12
th, and
William Eriksson 14
th for a B final appearance. In the 100 free,
Brandon Wilson (45.00),
Nino Viallon (45.03), and
Matheus Da Rocha (45.07) placed four through six to make the A final.
Will Neville and
John Zeiger, along with
Michael Tretyakov, were just outside the top eight to make the B final.

The next individual event was the 200 breast as
Niko Frese was third,
Reese Whelan sixth, and
Shawn Erdley seventh to make the A final.
Janek Barczyk, Travis Oleson, and
Cooper Krance all made the B final. The last prelim event was the 200 fly as
Tristan Clanton and Viallon made the A cut. B finalists included
Bennett Baer, Thomas Wooldridge, and
William King.

To open the evening finals, the last remaining heats of the 1650 were completed with Wooldridge fourth (15:57.28) and
Clyde Crouse in seventh (16:19.26). In the 200 back, Eriksson had the best time for FSC, with 1:50.17 for 10
th overall and second in the B final. Wilson then followed with a podium spot in the 100 free with second in 44.36. Da Rocha was fifth in 44.59 and Neville was eighth in 45.75.

Frese had a third-place finish in the 200 breast (2:02.77) with Barczyk fifth (2:04.59), Whelan sixth (2:04.94), and Erdley in seventh with a time of 2:05.27. The last individual event was the 200 fly as Viallon was fifth in 1:49.01, followed by Clanton in sixth with a time of 1:49.04. The last event of the invite was the 400 free relay with a team of Viallon, Da Rocha, Neville, and Wilson finished fourth in 2:58.97.

The Mocs will take a short break before returning to IRSC for a dual meet on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Anne Wilder Aquatic Complex.
