LAKELAND, Fla. – The 17
th-ranked Florida Southern College men's cross country team travels to Kenosha, Wis. Saturday for the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championship. This marks the second trip to the National Championship for the program over the last three seasons and just 12
th time overall in program history.

The Moccasins' top overall finish at a National Championship came at the 2005 event when the Mocs took 13
th overall. In its previous 11 trips, Florida Southern has finished 20

The 2025 National Championship is taking place in Kenosha, Wis. at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course and is being hosted by University of Wisconsin Parkside. This marks the first crossd country championship hosted by UW-Parkside since 1997. FSC traveled to Kenosha earlier this year to compete in the Lucian Rosa Invite where the Mocs placed seventh overall.

In addition to the Moccasins' 11 team trips, FSC has sent individuals to the National Championship six other times including in 2008, 2011, 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2024. The Mocs top individual finisher at any of the 16 National Championships in which the Moccasins have had a competitor was 41
st and that was achieved by
Christian Giller at last year's National Championship.Â

This will mark the third National Championship race for Giller while seniors
Anthony Matthew and
Chris Colavita will be facing the National Championship field for the second time. Senior
Simon DeVoss, junior
Cole Summers and sophomores
Eli Zuppa and
Andrew Nyland will be making their National Championship debuts.

All seven of the Moccasins competing at the National Championship earned All-South Region honors, a first in program history. All seven Mocs placed between fourth and 24
th at the region championships to earn All-Region honors.
FSC is one of 34 teams competing for the 2025 title and will open the race in box #17. FSC will be flanked by a group of individuals on the left and Washburn on the right. A total of 44 boxes will be used at the event with 34 team boxes and 10 boxes with the 25 individuals.

Colorado School of Mines is the defending National Champions and enters as the No. 3 ranked team in the country. Wingate and Adams State hold the top two spots in the most recent USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll.
