OCALA, Fla. - The No. 16 Florida Southern College men's swimming team finished in second place overall to end the 2025 Sunshine State Conference Championships at the F.A.S.T. Center.

The Moccasins finished in second place with 596 points. The University of Tampa retained its conference title for the second year in a row, finishing with 833.5 points. FSC kept a strong lead in the final events to finish ahead of Nova Southeastern University, who finished with 564 points.

In prelims,
Matheus Da Rocha and
Nino Viallon made the 100 free A final after finishing seventh and eighth overall. The sole Moc to make the B final was
Michael Tretyakov, 14
th overall. Other swimmers for the 100 free included
Will Neville (17
th),
John Zeiger (19
th), and
Brandon Wilson (20
th). In the 200 back,
William Eriksson made the B final after 11
th, joining
Bennett Baer, who was 16
th.

Janek Barczyk had another prelims top time after first with 1:59.59 in the 200 breast to make the A final. Making the B final was
Travis Oleson and
Walter Christman, and outside the mark were
Shawn Erdley (20
th) and
Reese Whelan (23
rd). In the morning heat of the 1650 free,
Daniel Cushing had the best time in the AM session with 16:11.96.

In the evening heat of the 1650 free,
Peter Csicsaky finished third overall for a podium finish of 15:40.11.
Thomas Wooldridge finished seventh overall with 16:01.51. Cushing's time in the morning heat was good enough for eighth overall. In the 100 free, Da Rocha was sixth with 44.85, just ahead of Viallon in seventh with 44.87. Tretyakov was second in the B final with a time of 44.65.

Representing the Mocs in the B final of the 200 back, Eriksson finished 14
th overall in 1:52.02 and Baer in 16
th with 1:57.14. In the A final of the 200 breast, Barczyk was seventh in 2:00.84, as Christman finished 14
th in 2:04.21 and Oleson in 15
th with 2:04.21.

The final event of the five-day championship was the 400 free relay as a team of Wilson, Da Rocha, Tretyakov, and Viallon finished in third place with a time of 2:56.28. In the B final, a team of Neville, Csicsaky, Clanton, and Zeiger finished 10
th overall and third in their heat with 3:01.83.

The Mocs will await the announcement of the national qualifiers to be announced in the coming weeks. The NCAA Championship will take place March 11-15 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
