PORT ORANGE, Fla. – The Florida Southern men's and women's track programs returned to action Friday afternoon and evening at the Spikes Classic hosted by Embry-Riddle. The event is taking place at Spruce Creek High School while ERAU's home track undergoes renovations. The Moccasins posted a pair of top-five all-time marks in the 1500m with one on the men's side and one on the women's.  Â

FLORIDA SOUTHERN WOMEN:
- Sophomore Ellie Fluman led a group of 11 Mocs in the 1,500m as she took 11th overall with the fourth fastest time in program history at 4:48.75. Sophomore Jinia Johnson was next in the standings in 14th after stopping the clock at 4:51.99, which ranks as the 11th fastest time in program history. Sophomore Carolina Titus and freshman Marisa Kortright finished in 16th and 17th, respectively. Titus clocked in at 4:52.29 while Kortright came in at 4:52.48. Freshman Emma Mussante finished just outside the top-20 in 21st with a time of 4:56.62. Freshmen Julia Svartstrom came in three spots back in 24th at 5:00.48. The final four Moc finishers were freshman Mya Stam (36th, 5:11.88), sophomore Capri Procopio (40th, 5:15.28), sophomore Kaylee Padar (49th, 5:33.84) and senior Kate Hanna (64th, 6:13.34).
- Senior Alayna Goll led the way for the Mocs in the 5000m as she finished seventh overall with a time of 18:32.40. Freshman Karah McElhone picked up a top-20 finish as she took 16th overall after crossing the line in 19:20.53. Freshman Chloe Hacker turned in a time of 20:32.91 to take 33rd overall. The final women's finisher was freshman Emily Opalinski who finished in 36th with a time of 20:54.92.

FLORIDA SOUTHERN MEN:
- Graduate student Joshua Wagner picked up a third place finish to lead a group of nine Mocs in the 1500m. Wagner crossed the finish line in 3:51.30 to post the fourth fastest time in program history. Junior Alex Guy earned the 12th fastest time in program history while finishing fifth overall in 3:54.22. Senior Mason Jones finished one spot back in sixth at 3:55.37. Sophomore Bryson Yamnitz finished just inside the top-15 as he placed 14th with a time of 4:01.61. Graduate student Mitchell Kozik was two spots back in 16th at 4:03.80. The final four Moc finishers were junior Brady Zimmerman (22nd, 4:06.75), freshman Jaylen Caneus (34th, 4:12.00), freshman Seth Augustynowski (35th, 4:12.43) and freshman Aiden Redmond (40th, 4:14.84).
- Sophomore Noah Ellenback led the Mocs in the 5000m as he took 11th overall in 15:45.86. Freshman Caden Kwiatkowski came across next in 20th at 16:00.25. Junior David Pautienus and sophomore Zach Dale finished 24th and 25th, respectively. Pautienus crossed the line in 16:12.47 while Dale stopped the clock at 16:13.45. The final Moc finisher of the night was freshman James Simpson who crossed the line in 49th with a time of 17:30.42.
