TAMPA, Fla. – The Florida Southern men's track team earned a total of nine top-10 finishes Friday night including a trio of second-place showings as the Moccasins competed at the Tampa Track Classic. Sophomore
Anthony Matthew led the way for the Mocs as he posted the fourth-fastest 1,500m time in program history while earning one of the second place finishes for FSC.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Sophomore Anthony Matthew led a quartet of Mocs in the 1,500m as he took second overall while turning in a time of 3:50.60, good for fourth in the FSC record book. Two spots back, graduate student Alex Guy crossed the line in fourth while stopping the clock at 3:58.46. Junior Aiden Redmond picked up a top-10 finish as he took sixth at 4:00.71. The final Moccasin finisher was junior Seth Augustynowski with a time of 4:09.15 which earned him 17th.
- Guy then led a trio of Mocs in the 800m as he ran the ninth fastest time in program history at 1:54.39, which earned him the second, second-place finish of the night for the Mocs. Junior Jaylen Caneus finished just inside the top-15 in 13th with a time of 2:01.64 while senior Tyler Gulluscio rounded out the FSC finishers in 26th after crossing the line in 2:10.30.
- The Moccasins then sent 13 runners to toe the line in the 5,000m as sophomore Christian Giller led the way with the third second-place finish of the night as he stopped the clock in 14:45.82. Senior Bryson Yamnitz and freshman Cole Summers finished back-to-back in fifth and sixth, respectively. Yamnitz clocked in at 14:58.96 while Summers came in at 15:04.78. Sophomore Chris Colavita rounded out the top-10 finishers for the Mocs as he placed eighth with a time of 15:08.08.
- Freshman Dylan Bailey led a group of three who finished between 10th and 20th. Bailey took 11th overall while completing the distance in 15:20.06. Sophomore Luke Kaelin was next in 15th after finishing eight seconds back in 15:28.54. The final Moc in the group was freshman Cameron Raney who clocked in at 15:36.18 to take 19th overall.
- The final six Moccasin finishers in the event were freshman William Canales (24th, 15:40.79), freshman Connor Brooks (39th, 15:56.92), freshman Dillon Mantei (40th, 15:57.48), freshman Declan Ziomek (41st, 15:57.70), freshman Jaden Rapp (42nd, 16:01.07) and junior James Simpson (44th, 16:08.48).
- The final event of the night was the 4x400m relay as the Mocs took fifth overall but turned in the fourth-best time in program history. Caneus, sophomore Luke Reeves, Matthew and Guy combined to complete the four laps of the track in 3:41.14.
