DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Florida Southern men's track team opened up action at the Embry-Riddle Running Elements Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. Friday afternoon. The Moccasins posted a pair of top-1 all-time marks while sophomore
Chris Colavita picked up a victory in the 10,000m to close out the evening.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Sophomore Anthony Matthew, graduate student Alex Guy and senior Bryson Yamnitz led a group of 10 Moccasins in the 1,500m to open up the afternoon. The trio finished second, third and fourth, respectively, as they posted the fourth, fifth and sixth-best times this season for the Mocs in the 1,500m. Matthew crossed the line in 3:54.27 while Guy finished just under two seconds later at 3:56.05 and Yamnitz rounded out the trio at 3:57.17. The next trio of Mocs finished between 11th and 18th. Freshman Cole Summers was the first to clock in at 4:02.49 to place 11th while sophomore Christian Giller came across two seconds later in 13th at 4:04.25. The final member of the group was junior Seth Augustynowski who took 18th in 4:06.63. The final four finishers for the Mocs were junior Aiden Redmond (29th, 4:09.70), freshman Dylan Bailey (30th, 4:10.12), freshman William Canales (33rd, 4:11.51) and freshman Jaden Rapp (42nd, 4:16.66).
- Sophomore Luke Reeves and senior Tyler Gulluscio were the next to Moccasins on the track as they competed in the 200m. Reeves posted the third fastest time in program history and the top time since 2011 for the Mocs as he finished 80th in 23.90. Gulluscio clocked in at 27.47 to place 101st.
- The next event of the evening for the Mocs was the 5,000m where sophomore Caleb Brady led the way with an eighth-place finish. Brady's time of 15:12.08 ranks as the ninth-best this season for FSC. Freshman Cameron Raney was next to clock in as he came across in 15:37.08 to earn 21st overall. The next two FSC finishers went back-to-back as freshman Dillon Mantei and senior Luke Dickinson finished 28th and 29th, respectively. Mantei had a time of 15:46.18 while Dickinson crossed the finish in 15:50.68. The final FSC finisher was junior James Simpson who placed 36th with a time of 16:00.56.
- The final event of the evening was the 10,000m which started just prior to 10 p.m. Sophomore Chris Colavita led the way with the lone event win of the evening for FSC as his time of 30:44.71 ranked as the fifth-best in program history, and top-time by anyone not named Mason Jones (2018-22). Freshman Connor Brooks was the next to finish for FSC as he earned a top-three finish with the fifth-best time this season by an FSC runner at 32:23.56. Finishing two spots back in fifth was freshman Jaden Rapp who completed the distance in 32:34.65 for the seventh-best time this season for FSC. The final FSC runner in the event was freshman Declan Ziomek who took sixth with a mark of 32:46.06, which ranks as the ninth-best time this season.
