ALBERTO BONFIL
Men’s Tennis, 1997-00

Alberto Bonfil was a three-time All-American who led the Moccasin men’s tennis team to its three finest seasons in 1998, 1999 and 2000. Following his freshman season in 1997, in which he posted a 19-3 singles record, Bonfil helped take the Moccasins to three straight NCAA Division II Tournament berths where they finished third in 1998 and reached the quarterfinals in 1999 and 2000. As a sophomore, he was SSC Player of the Year. He was the team MVP all four years of his career. In 2003, he was one of 13 players named to the Sunshine State Conference Silver Anniversary Team for men’s tennis. In his four-year career, he posted a singles record of 63-22 and a doubles record of 63-36. Both win totals rank #1 in FSC men’s tennis history.
