John Rodda, president of Lakeland’s Rodda Construction, Inc., has been a longtime supporter of Florida Southern College and is a member of the school’s board of trustees, including chair of the buildings and grounds committee. He has helped plan and construct significant projects to support FSC Athletics over the years, including the Jenkins Baseball Clubhouse at Henley Field, the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center, the Wynee Warden Tennis Center and numerous projects inside Jenkins Field House. In 2009, Rodda received the Bernie Little Executive of the Year Award from Polk County Sports Marketing and was named the 2013 Jere Annis Award winner from Leadership Lakeland Alumni. He established the John and Becky Rodda Endowed Baseball Scholarship, which is given annually to a Polk County Baseball player playing at Florida Southern College. Rodda is also on the SunTrust Bank Central Region Board of Directors and is a board member of the Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine. He and his wife Becky, are the parents of a son, Jason, and a daughter, Leslie.
