JEFF KLAUK
Men’s Golf, 1997-2000

Jeff Klauk played for the Mocs from 1997-2000 and was named 2000 National Player of the Year by GCAA and GolfWeek Magazine. A four-time All-American, including first-team selections in 1998, 1999 and 2000, he won the NCAA individual championship in 2000, helping lead the Mocs to a third straight NCAA championship. In 1999, he finished as NCAA runner-up as a junior and also finished 9th nationally in 1997 and 13th in 1998. As a senior, he produced the best spring season ever by a Moccasin, capturing six tournament championships, including the NCAA regional and national tournament titles. The 2000 SSC Male Athlete of the Year, he also was a three-time SSC Golfer of the Year in 1998, 1999 and 2000 and SSC Freshman of the Year in 1997. He led the Mocs in stroke average in each of his four seasons and set the FSC record with a 70.71 average as a senior. A 2000 graduate, Klauk was the Hal Smeltzly Award winner as FSC Male Athlete of the Year as a senior and was selected to play for the 2000 USA Palmer Cup Team. With his wife, Shanna, inducted into the FSC and SSC Halls of Fame last year, Klauk’s induction will give both groups their first husband and wife inductees. Currently a member of the Nationwide Tour, he will be inducted into the SSC Hall of Fame in the summer of 2006.
