SHANNA NAGY
Women’s Golf, 1996-99

Shanna Nagy was on the first women’s golf team at Florida Southern in 1996 and by the time her career came to a close four years, she was one of the most honored Mocs in any sport. Winning the NCAA Individual National Championship in 1996 as a freshman and again in 1998 as a junior, Nagy led the Moccasins to national runner-up finishes in 1998 and 1999 and a fourth-place finish in 1996. A two time National Player of the Year in 1998 and 1999, she remains the only Moccasin student-athlete in any sport to be named to the first-team All-America team four times. The 1999 Sunshine State Conference Golfer of the Year, Nagy was named to the 1999 All-SSC first-team and SSC All-Tournament teams. A 1999 graduate, she holds FSC records with a 142 two-round score and a 301 four-round score. She was inducted into the Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame in 2005. Her husband, Jeff Klauk, a men’s golfer at Florida Southern from 1997-2000 joins her in both the FSC and SSC Halls of Fame.
