KATY CORTELYOU
Softball, 1992-95

Softball player Katy Cortelyou was a three-time All-American pitcher on the Moccasin softball team, earning First Team status as a sophomore, and Academic All-American honors as a junior and senior. She was a member of four NCAA postseason teams, including the ‘93 National Championship team when she tossed back-to-back shutouts to lead the Moccasins out of the loser’s bracket and into the National Title game, which she also won. The three-time All-South and three-time All-SSC pitcher was 67-17 with a 1.17 ERA and 314 strikeouts in her career. She capped her career by being named the 1995 NCAA Woman of the Year for the state of Florida.
