A two-time first-team All-American and a two-time Academic All-American, Stankewitz was a three-time All-South honoree, a three-time All-SSC honoree and the 1988 SSC Female Athlete of the Year. Among her 12 school records is a streak of 64.0 consecutive scoreless innings pitched in 1988, an NCAA record which stood for 12 seasons, as well as 19 consecutive victories. She holds the FSC single game record with 20 strikeouts in a seven-inning game, set against Tampa in 1987, and also holds single season records with a 0.36 earned run average (1988), 20 shutouts (1987) and 29 complete games (1987). Her 29 victories in 1987 is tied for second best. Stankewitz holds career records at FSC with 81 wins, 927 strikeouts, 55 shutouts, 90 complete games and a 0.70 career ERA.
