BECKY THYHSEN
Volleyball, 1989-91

One of the most decorated athletes in Florida Southern history, Becky Thyhsen accomplished all of her achievements in only three years after transferring from Manatee Community College. Also a member of the SSC Hall of Fame, Thyhsen was a two-time All-American for the Moccasin volleyball team, earning First Team honors in 1991 when she was the MVP of the South Region Tournament and led the Mocs to the Division II Nationals. During that season she set an NCAA record with 904 kills and hit .465. She still holds school records for kills in a match (40), season (904), and career (1,789), as well as attack percentage for a match (.833), season (.465), and career (.414). She is also one of only five Moccasins with over 1,000 career digs.
