Mark Daly was a dominant pitcher for Florida Southern College from 1973 to 1976 and a key member of the Mocs' 1975 NCAA National Championship team. A First Team All-American in 1975, Daly famously pitched a five-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts to send FSC into the national championship game, which the Mocs went on to win.
 
Daly ranks fourth in program history with 301.2 innings pitched and finished his collegiate career with a stellar 24-9 record, a 2.09 ERA, and 273 strikeouts. He posted outstanding numbers in his junior and senior seasons, going 9-2 with a 1.72 ERA in 1975 and 10-4 with a 2.36 ERA in 1976.
 
Following his standout college career, Daly was selected in the second round of the 1977 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals (44th overall pick). He went on to play five seasons in professional baseball, including three at the AAA level.
 
Daly graduated from Florida Southern in 1977, leaving a lasting legacy as one of the program's elite pitchers.
